Psychiatrist

MELE is seeking a Psychiatrists supporting the Office of Headquarters Security Vetting in the Associate Under Secretary for Environment, Health, Safety and Security in the Department of Energy (DOE). The position requires access to privileged and sensitive information and requires an active TS/Q level security clearance. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The Psychiatrists will perform evaluations in accordance with Title 10 CFR Part 710. The evaluation will include the clinicians’ professional opinion regarding the individual’s mental illness or mental condition and any associated treatments thereof that may impair the individual’s judgment, stability, trustworthiness, or reliability as described in 10 CFR 710, Appendix A (National Security Adjudicative Guidelines), or successor. Evaluations can be done either in person or via a HIPAA-compliant telemedicine application. The applicant must have the ability to order and evaluate PEth and EtG laboratory tests of the individual by a certified laboratory located in the local area of the assessment location if required as part of the evaluation.
